ZERO WASTE

Garbage is everywhere. Trash is everywhere. What is it? Is it really a waste? If we talk about garbage, many people said that “All of garbage aren’t useful and need to throw away.” This statement isn’t true. The right statement is “In common there is only 20% garbage that really must throw. The other can be reused, recycled or make as a compos. Our surrounding is much garbage. When we are near by or look for garbage, we feel them smelly and disgusting. Why does it happen? There was explode of human, houses more crowded, people more lavish and lazy to reuse material.

So, what is the solution for this problem? What can we do to help the government? The first, we must know a kind of garbage. The garbage is arranged from different material, so there is different effect to environment and the way to solve this problem. Commonly, garbage was divide in two: (1) Organic garbage (origin from animal and plant), such as food material, paper, wood, dress, garden trash, and etc. (2) Inorganic garbage, that is plastic, metal, and glass. The second step we can do from a little unit—our house. There is a method we can apply at home. We can begin from 3R principal that campaigned by The Ministry of Life Environmental. It is Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. It will decrease volume of garbage that throws to final garbage thrower. The first R (Reduce), we can start from decreasing consumption something wrapped or packed. For example, if we have business in selling some food, we can change plastic with wrapped paper. As possible as you can, it will get an advantage. The second is Reuse. When we think everything used is unvalued anymore, it’s wrong. If we are creative people, we can reuse it to become things useful. For example we can make a handicraft. Many people have done it and produced some benefit. The last is Recycle. Not all things can be recycled, so we must separate garbage into two parts: organic and inorganic before. Organic trash such as kitchen waste is used for making compos. Shell of onion, seeds of pepper, and other things of it can be use to make a handicraft or wall decoration painting. The other organic material—paper can be recycled. From this we can make paper recycle, handicraft (frame, pin, key accessories), and etc. How to make it? It’s easy and doesn’t need much fee. We just need paper, glue, water, and blender. Beside paper, plastics have some use. We can make everything if we are a creative person.
